Philippe Becker, Partner & Creative Director
Philippe has been a driving force in the San Francisco Bay Area design community for more than 25 years, during which time he has created and transformed beloved brands from visionary startups to heritage icons.
He launched his namesake agency in 2000, counting Whole Foods among his earliest clients. The agency continued to build deep expertise in the health and wellness space and, in 2012, was acquired by Sterling Brands (part of Omnicom Group Inc.). Philippe served as Chief Creative Officer and Managing Director of the San Francisco office through 2019.
Philippe is best known for working with pioneering brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Straus Family Creamery, for creating powerful retail brands like Albertsons’ billion-dollar O Organics, and for elevating the stature of private equity-owned challengers like Bare Snacks, Voortman Cookies, and Vermont Smoke & Cure, to ready them for next-level growth. His imprint can also be found on established market leaders like Nestle, Del Monte, Microsoft, and T-Mobile.
Philippe founded Plant Creative to focus his deep branding and design expertise on his passion areas of food & wellness. He believes the craft of design and storytelling plays an essential role in connecting consumers to brands in deeper and more meaningful ways. At Plant, he collaborates with bespoke teams of seasoned talent to provide visionary creative for a short list of innovative and purpose-led clients.
Georgia Thunes, Partner & Strategy Director
Georgia brings 20+ years of experience helping leaders craft inspiring strategies and smart creative solutions to connect with consumers and grow brands.
From plant-based milks to pet foods, vineyards to virtual worlds, she has continuously mined the intersection of insights and intuition to help brands find the spark that will ignite great creative. She is best known for helping category leaders like Krispy Kreme, Nestlé, and Albertsons launch and reimagine brands, ensuring that challengers like Bare Snacks and Harmless Harvest preserve their magic while expanding their business, and supporting arts organizations like San Francisco Ballet as they evolve for a new generation of audiences.
At Plant, Georgia partners with clients from project outset to delivery, leading work spanning consumer insights, brand positioning, naming, and storytelling. She thrives on collaboration during the creative process—inspiring design, leading campaign development, overseeing design research, and always ensuring that strategy and brand expression are in harmony.
An inveterate optimist, Georgia believes that kindness and empathy are essential ingredients in doing business and doing good.
Brody Hartman, Strategy & Story
Brody and Philippe have enjoyed a 25+ year partnership across many iterations of agency life.
In his capacities as strategist, creative catalyst, writer, and facilitator, Brody has led projects for Whole Foods, Ben & Jerry’s, T-Mobile, Safeway, Jamba Juice, Disney, the United Nations, the International Museum of Women, and the 1996 Olympics.
When he’s not collaborating with Plant, Brody is a teacher, mentor, and certified Purpose Guide™ at SoulTrue, where he helps individuals, business leaders, and groups across the globe discover and embody their purpose. soultrue.org
